Fantastic $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability back in April, this cartography software collection has returned for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by a specialized software company over the years, the complete package carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. Additionally, there exist multiple package options offered in this deal.

Primary Feature

The big draw is certainly permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, smaller regional maps, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, tactical combat environments.

Bundle Tiers

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four of the 39 total items: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Castle Source Maps, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting through inclusion of a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's long-running monthly subscription service featuring a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. The Isometric Cities enables display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from multiple angles. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials for the map-making process.

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, dungeons, urban centers, and continents in multiple viewpoints. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to help you get started. The sole limitation is that while the purchase is available across platforms, the applications only function on Windows.
